Suomen Suoramainonta Oy and its subsidiaries and associated companies belonging to the same SSM Group (Länsi-Uudenmaan Mainosjakelu Oy and Oulu Suorajakelu Oy) are joint controllers that jointly determine the purposes and means of personal data in the register concerning job applicants. The joint controllers have agreed that Suomen Suoramainonta Oy is responsible for informing data subjects on behalf of itself and its subsidiaries and associated companies.

3. Purpose and grounds for processing personal data

Information provided by job applicants that the distribution companies of the Suomen Suoramainonta chain need in identifying and recruiting potential job applicants are collected in the register. The processing of personal data is based on the job applicant’s consent or our legitimate interest

 

4. Personal data stored in the register

The jobseeker register contains the following information:

  • Name and date of birth
  • Address, email address and phone number

In addition, applicants are asked where the information about the vacancies came from, whether the applicant has a vehicle, current work situation and the type of desired employment relationship.

 

5. Rights of the data subject

The data subject has the following rights, requests for the exercise of which should be made to tuki@ssm.fi.

Right of access
The data subject can check the personal data we have stored.

Right to rectification
The data subject may request the rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data concerning him/her.

Right to object
The data subject may object to the processing of personal data based on a legitimate interest.

Right to erasure
The data subject has the right to request the erasure of data. We will process the deletion request, after which we will either delete the data or give a justified reason why the data cannot be deleted. It should be noted that the controller may have a statutory or other right not to delete the requested data.

Right to withdraw consent
The data subject may withdraw his or her consent to the processing of personal data. Withdrawing consent means that we cannot take the data subject’s application into account in recruitment.

Right to restrict processing
The data subject has the right to demand that we restrict the processing of disputed data until the matter is resolved.

Right to data portability
The data subject has the right to receive the data he or she has provided, which we process automatically on the basis of consent, in a commonly used and machine-readable format and to transfer the data to another controller.

Right to lodge a complaint

6. Regular sources of information

As a rule, the information is obtained from the jobseekers themselves through an online form.

 

7. Regular disclosure of data

The data will not be disclosed to external companies for marketing or other purposes. Information may be disclosed to authorities on the basis of their legal request or to the receiving party in connection with a corporate transaction.

 

8. Duration of processing

As a rule, personal data may be processed for as long as the job application is valid or necessary for handling recruitment-related obligations, including possible disputes. The job application shall be deemed to be valid for the period indicated by the applicant or, if it has not been notified, until the applicant notifies otherwise.

 

9. Data processors

The controller, its employees and employees of the distribution companies of the Suomen Suoramainonta chain process personal data. We may also partially outsource the processing of personal data to a third party, in which case we guarantee through contractual arrangements that personal data is processed in accordance with current data protection legislation and otherwise appropriately.

 

10. Transfer of data outside the EU

We may transfer data outside the EU or EEA if processing so requires. If we transfer data outside the EU or EEA, we will ensure an adequate level of protection of personal data as required by law, for example by using standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

 

11. Automated decision-making and profiling

We do not use the data for automated decision-making or profiling.

 

12. Changes
We may change this privacy statement for a justified reason, for example when legislation or official guidelines change.
